News from the Association

Effective December 1, 2005 the Joint Insurance Association will now offer additional lines of coverage for Homeowners under the latest ISO HO-2000 program and loss cost information. As a result the existing HO-8 rates have increased. This is the first rate change for this program since 1984.

In addition to the HO-08 -Modified Coverage Form presently offered, the Association will now offer: the following additional policy types.:

     HO-02, Broad Form
     HO-04, Contents Broad Form
     HO-06, Condo Unit Owners Form

Coverage limits have been increased to accommodate the rising home values to $455,000 for your Dwelling
and $288,000 for Contents coverage.

To help keep the cost of Sewer and Drain coverage, it has been limited to $5,000 with additional coverage available to those who need more that $5,000 in coverage. Limited coverage for Mold and Fungi has been provided at no additional cost. Liability for Certain Breeds of Dogs is now excluded.
